Hi guys! Now I wanna share a bit
experience when I following OSTN Biology 2012 (Olimpiade Sains Terapan
Nasional) or national olympiad biology 2012. My name is Winda Nurafiani, in
that time i am representative from Tunas Medika Vocational High School Jakarta.
In the first time, i follow that
olympiad, i follow Physic in 2010 when i was in grade 10, actually at that time
school had given me choices to choose any olympiad that i want.. first i wanna
join math or biology but i am not sure that i would win that olympiad, cause in
that time really really hate biology FYI, but I love math. So why i choose
physic? Actually its because my friends force me, they think i am good at
physic so they want me to join that eventhough i know that i am not so good in
physic, cause my teacher never teach me well, but its not become reason for me
to not choose that, i took it as challenge! :D yupz, and then i follow that
physic olympiad and when i face the exam sheet everything is so confusing lol.
I mean, the topics in that olympiad were so hard and i didnt learned it in
grade 10, so i just fill the answer paper with my feeling, i multiply it divide
it etc. I use all my ability to fill
that answer sheet even that i just wrote the questions again.. hahahaha . I
already known that i won't win that olympiad
And my other friend named shafa,
she followed biology olympiad and she won at the #5th position! Even its #5th
its extremely shocked me, i mean how can she rock that olympiad, because i know
that almost all contestant from my school didnt prepare it well.. hmm but i am
so happy to know that she won that olympiad,
FYI she is the best in my class, and i am 2nd best in class, we always
compete to get best score in school
I was wondering, if she could won that biology olympiad, what about
me??!
I am sure that i smart enough
rock that olympiad someday.. and that time comes... in wrong time when i just following the final exam to go the
next grade 12 on May 16, 2012. when its second chance for me to join olympiad,
i choose biology!! I dont care if i have to leave the final exam for awhile,
cuz its all i do for my lovely school <3
And i just prepare it in 1 day!
Yeah 1 day to prepare all to fight in the olympiad, i was with shafa, octa, and
kukuh, we are representative from tunas medika VHS.
When i answer the exam sheet,
ah! Its was not so hard but not so easy, i could finish it well, and i am sure
that i could win that olympiad, even just in 5th or 6th place. Surprisingly!! I
got the 4th place :’) and won Rp 1.300.000 and my friend shafa she rock the
olympiad and won Rp 1.900.000 we are so happy for that! Because we aren't learn
biology in grade 11
After all, we would be
representative from East Jakarta City to follow Olympiad in Jakarta Province.
That time come 1 week after announcement of olympiad in east jakarta city
So i am with shafa, we both
learn together at school, we try to get any lesson about biology from internet,
from books etc we really work hard... without guidance from our biology teacher
but its not a reason for us to give
up! we really study hard for biology, the topics were from grade 10 untill 12!!
that time in only 1 week to finish all... *sigh even its hard but we still do
as best as we can... cause you know biology is about to memorize.. neither math
:/
And tadaaa, the time comes! I
was hopeless... i mean, i only won olympiad in 4th place from the city, and i
have to compete with all contestant from whole jakarta! Woah.. i am sure no one
put high hope to me,be cause its another winner at 1st 2nd and 3rd place :p
But i wanna prove them!
Eventhough i am just 4th winner in the city, i could be winner in Jakarta
Province ^^ . I work hard, study, practice, and pray! I keep focus on the
process, for the result... i just give it to god, if i am the best i hope i
could be the champion...
Actually its 2 part of the
olympiad. And when i face that exam sheet, in 1st part i could answer it well..
but i am not pretty sure that i could get the highest score. It was
essay.. And the 2nd part it was multiple
choices, and when i face this, i think its easy for me, so i did it well. But
what was on my mind is if i took it easy i am sure another participants also
took it easy . And just 2 hour after exam.. they would announce the champion. I
am sure i could win that, i was hoping 5th position or even 4th
And when they about to announce
it, my heart beating so fast and i am sweating, my tummy so ruined my mood i
got stomachache before announcement lol. And i am trying to keep calm and keep
pray to god :’)
The announcement just come out!!
The 5th winner is.... wika yuliana from Chandra Naya!!! Yaaaay
*everyone give applouse*
The 4th winner is..... from Tunas... * i was hoping its tunas
medika, my school* Bangsa...!!!! *gubrak* Devika Irda
And the 3rd is Arum dinawati from Caraka Nusantara *actually she
comes from my city and she got the 2nd place before in olympiad *
And the 2nd is Shafa Rafida from Tunas
Medika!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG OMG OMG
OMG, i was soooooo surprised!! totally shocked!!! Really really shocked, it was
great feeling!!! And what was on my mind is “I ma sure that my answer is better
than shafa, cause we compare it after exams.. i guess i am the champion, but i
am not sure, but i hope sooo!!! ><”
And
tadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, the champion is Winda
Nura.. i have stand but he couldnt spell my name because its wrong lol,
nurafriani!!! Its should be nurafiani
And i was shocked, i am standing
and walking to the stage, everyone give big applause. I got my trophy and
certificate but no money. After all, I
told my mom and dad, my dad couldnt believe it.. cuz when i followed this
olympiad he doesnt even know it, but everyone is so happy for that. Even me,
myself.. its like a dream comes true :’) but i know this is just the beginning
for something bigger than just this
